Cashion OK was incorporated in 1900,
named after Roy Cashion, a member of
Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders in the
Spanish American War who was killed in
the famous charge on San Juan Hill. He
was said to be the first Oklahoman to die
in battle on foreign soil.

In the early days two railroads, The
Santa Fe and Rock Island ran two trains
a day from Guthrie and Kingfisher.
Cashion reached the peak of its growth
by 1915-1916.

An oil boom brought in the "Cashion
Pool" considered to be the largest single
pool ever discovered. It ran from south
of Cashion to near the Kansas border
just west of Enid.

Though many small surrounding towns
became ghost towns in the great
depression, Cashion hung on and today,
is once again booming with many
attractive business opportunities.

Over 30 new homes are built each year
by new residents who can commute the
15-20 miles to Oklahoma City, Guthrie or
Kingfisher.

Cashion is planning a 30 acre plus Park
with a Civic Center, Nature Area, Creek
and Trail system and a Pond with fish.

A recent addition is the new Fire/EMS
Station manned and built by a strong and
active volunteer fire department.

This Incorporated City is rural living at its
best and the citizens of Cashion invite
businesses in retail and industrial
development to become a part of Logan
County's 21st Century expansion and
development.
A rich history, a new school
and fire facility, convenient
to OKC location and the
lure of the oil fields makes
Cashion Oklahoma a great
place to live, raise a family
and begin or relocate a
business.
